New rules and new tournaments!

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Hello everybody. The 10th season started yesterday, and it’s more exciting than ever. We are becoming bigger for every season and here at WC3Manager we want to thank you for playing and supporting us!

In this new season we have some new things. First of all,  Hero members can now create tournaments where everybody can play.  You don’t need a Warrior/Hero account to play those tournaments, you just need the password from the creator of the tournament if he didn’t choose to create a public tour. You can find all the information about these new tournaments in this section. Remember that if you are a Warrior/Hero member and you are enjoying the line up selector, the friendly line up will be used in these tournaments. Every saturday you can face your friends in a new exciting tournament!

We also added a new rule. You already got a private message about it last season, but we changed it a little bit. Now you have a maximum limit for your web income. That limit is calculated with your wages/salaries and the average of your last current ranking seasons. Instead of using the current one, we will use the last 2 seasons to avoid that teams which are having a bad season can’t get any money. For instance, now we are in the 10th season, so we will use the 8th and the 9th season to calculate the maximum limit. Notice that you won’t lose money because you will always get money enough for your salaries. The scout wage maybe will be added in later on, but at the moment it is not added into the calculation.

Feel free to post your opinions, questions or suggestions in the forum about these topics. Also some forum users are playing a real Warcraft 3 tournament. Face your friends also in the real WC3!

Good luck this season!

MYM welcomes XLBET as new main sponsor

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Meet Your Makers (MYM) has just signed on a new sponsor and partner, which is no one else than the world’s first eSports betting company, XLBet, who offers fixed odds on eSports matches. XLBET, which besides eSports betting, also acts as a normal bookmaker on regular sports, events and feature a casino, will also soon be opening a poker room. XLBet will with today’s announcement be the official main sponsor of Meet Your Makers (MYM) and its teams.
As WC3Manager is a sistersite to MYM and a part of the Regroup Esports-network, we will also see some changes here. Firstly there will be a Betting-forum where you can ask about anything from specific odds to game analysis and more. Secondly we are offering our users a signup bonus on XLBet.com, and thirdly you will see some XLBet-banners around on the site.

Mark Peter Fries, COO in MYM says:
The partner and sponsorship deal with XLBET has been on the drawing board for quite some time now and has from the beginning been a very interesting project for both parties. eSports betting in various shapes and especially poker are something a lot of gamers already spend a great amount of time on and therefore a very interesting area for us as a professional gaming team to enter. XLBET will support MYM financially and the deal also contains a lot of very interesting projects and events between the two parties. As of today you will for instance be able an editorial piece “Pick of the day” every day on mymym.com, some made by our chief editor and some by our star players like Neo and Grubby. Get inspired via articles how to place your bet(s), see XLBET odds in our match ticker, debate in the myMYM XLBET forum and or participate in some of the upcoming XLBET tournaments and cups. All-in-all a win/win situation for both companies, with great times ahead and I am pleased to welcome them as both a sponsor and partner.

Jacob Nielsen, co-Founder and COO of XLBET says:
We are really excited about the partnership with MYM and we are sure this will turn into a beneficial relationship for the entire E-Sport community. The world will finally realize that E-sport is the future and to be taken serious. The fact that we are accepted by the owners of one of the biggest communities and most respected brands in the business is a huge cadeau for us.
Hopefully we can live up to the expectations and satisfy all E-Sports punters demands of various matches and events, but we are aware, that we have to take it step by step, and we hope everybody will respect that in the premature face. What I can guarantee though is that the client’s data and general security regarding money transactions will be top class.
